Adjusting GIF format conversion settings

more than 256). Read this article to learn more about this
format.
Settings of this format can be adjusted with the help of the following boxes.
With colors – use this slider to specify the number of colors
saved in the file (from 2 to 256).
Multipage option – use this dropdown list to select a mode of
saving for resulting images. Available options: Save as separate pages,
Save as Multipage file, Append to multipage file and Save
file "AS IS". Read this article to
learn more about these options.
The following boxes are used to adjust additional settings of output format.
They appear on the screen when you click on more>> link.
Quantization equal to – use this dropdown box to set quantization
value.
Using dithering – use this dropdown box to switch dithering
on/off.
Interlaced – use this dropdown list to switch interlacing on/off.
If Interlaced mode is on, rows # 1, 5, 10 etc. are written first, rows 2, 6,
11 etc. are written next. This mode increases file size. The advantage of this
mode is that interlaced images are loaded the same way they are saved (1, 5,
10 etc. rows during the first pass, 2, 6, 11 rows during the second pass). The
loaded rows are stretched to fill all image area. This allows the user to understand
what is contained in the image without waiting for it to load completely. Usually
this property is used on the Web.
Optimize without quality loss – use this dropdown box to switch
lossless optimization on/off.
